No Love Lost Between Her Best Friend and Alleged Lover

Appearing on FOX NEWS in a live interview, Jackie Hatten introduced herself as Anna Nicole Smith's best friend. A title that has been thrown around by a handful of people lately. Hatten, however, adamantly protested that Anna Nicole had never lied to her and that she had shared many confidences abou
t Howard Stern and other personal issues with her. Hatten claims no stake in the outcome of the proceedings, but says she has stepped forward to help set the record straight and assist in carrying out the last wishes of her best friend, Anna Nicole Smith.

Hatton's description of Howard Stern was that of a manipulator, control freak, and one who kept Anna away from everyone who wanted to help her and help her get off drugs. She reports that Anna Nicole's phone calls were often covert. If Stern realized she was on the phone. He would demand to know who she was talking with, and often just hang up the phone.

Hatten is the godmother of Danielynn. Her interests, she stated, are the best interest of the child. That seems to be the mantra of many participants, but Hatten stands no financial gain from sharing what she believes to be the truth. She explained that Anna had tried to contact her mother, but again, the calls were interrupted by Stern. Hatten believes that Virginia, Anna Nicloe Smith's mother, should receive custody of the child, as next of kin.

She acknowledges, as Stern has repeatedly reported, that the relationship between Anna Nicole and her mother was strained. She did say, however, that the issues between them were old. They were personal and had to do with Anna Nicole's mother and step-father. She said that, especially since Daniel's death, Anna had tried to contact her mother, begging for help. According to Hatten, it was not unusual for the phone to be slammed down, presumably by Howard Stern.

I never liked the feeling Stern gave even just from the television. I was glad to see Birkhead be proven to be the father. However, I never liked how Anna Nicole's mother was, either. She seemed really nasty!

I agree with lazy- news and commentary should never be intertwined. This is why there is news and op/ed. If you have a passion for writing, keep it up but be sure you are writing true to the format you are writing and learn to take suggestions. Suggestions are not slander, and if fact, when remarks are written it is actually libel. Good luck on AC.

Murry - This is not "news reporting", and you didn't "witness it with your own eyes". The interviewer was the real reporter. You transcribed a TV show you were watching. To make this "yours", take the information from the TV and write analytical commentary on it. For example, why is this woman getting so much air time? Why are all these guy$ intere$ted in the baby?

Murry, if you post your content on the Internet (or anywhere else for that matter), you have to expect criticism. No one is going to like everything you write. From time to time mistakes will be present in your work. If people don't point out the mistakes, you will never grow as a writer. Breaking news does not excuse poor spelling and grammar, though. If you look at major news sources, you will not see such mistakes. It's better to spend a few minutes proofing your story than posting an imperfect piece so you can get "the scoop."

Further, this was written as the interview was in process. What? You don't write well enough to spend time covering the news?

check your spelling: Thank you for the warm welcome to AC. This was not plagarized. I happened to have witnessed it with my own eyes. If you would like to avoid a slander suit, keep your comments off my articles. You are as full of poop as a constipated elephant!

I think that Anna should be buried next to her son, she wouldn't have bought a burial plot if she didn't want to be buried next to him. I think that Larry Birkhead is the father, but at the same time Howard is the only one who has really been there for her. I think there is a reason that Anna didn't want her mother to be at her son's funeral, Anna also didn't want her mother to see her daughter so why in the hell should Anna's mother have any say so in where she should be buried, Anna probably would prefer if her mother wouldn't even there. It's obvious of that Anna disliked her mother very much, I think Anna is looking down on her mother saying I' can't believe she had the nerve
