It has actually become a trend for teenagers to go to the Goodwill and buy vintage clothes. Now that they have half price days it is even more economical for people who are on a budget or who just like bargains to go to there to shop. Some people are addicted to garage sales and any other kind of bargain hunting, and the Goodwill is like a huge garage sale.
The other good thing about going to the Goodwill or Salvation Army to buy clothes is that many times they are name brand clothes, some have never even been worn. People who buy them and can't wear them because they are too big or too small, or just because they don't like them, don't want to take them time to take them back to the store. They just toss them in a sack for the Goodwill.
Some stores at the end of the month take bins of clothes to the Goodwill because for whatever reason they haven't sold. Many times you can find brand new items there. If they are used, they are tried and true. You can buy a brand new item in a clothing store and have the zipper break before you wear it one time. If it has held up and been worn and used before, chances are it wears like iron.
Children's clothes are especially a bargain at the Goodwill. They grow so fast and their fashion tastes change so rapidly, it is a great place to buy for them. Infants clothes are very plentiful and stylish there too.
I also like finding, antique dishes, or cooking utensils, and frames, books, toys and many other things there at a fraction of the cost. I have gotten so tight, that now I like to buy things on half price day, or senior citizens day. If you become a Goodwill member for $5.00 dollars a year, you can get $5.00 off on any day there.
I find it challenging, fun and rewarding. I have a hard time buying new clothes now when I think of how much it costs brand new in a regular clothing store. So next time you are bored, or looking for something to wear, check out the Goodwill before you go buy something at the Mall.

The economy is not as great as we were lead to believe. I don't think so anyway. I know my dollar doesn't stretch as far as it used to.
