Folks, Mercury is Now in Retrograde

Since before Valentine's Day, I'm sure quite a few of you have felt something strange going on... something off-kilter that you just can't put your finger on. Good for you. You're in tune with what's going on planetarily around you. Folks, Mercury is now in retrograde.

According to www.astrologycom.com, 'On February 14, 2007, Mercury, the cosmic trickster, turns retrograde in Pisces, the sign of the Fishes, sending communications, travel, appointments, mail and the www into a general snarlup! This awkward period begins a few days before the actual turning point (as Mercury slows) and lasts for three weeks or so, until March 8, when the Winged Messenger reaches his direct station. At this time he halts and begins his return to direct motion through the zodiac.

Everything finally straightens out on March 28, as he passes the point where he first turned retrograde. Mercury turns retrograde three times a year, as a rule, but the effects of each period differ, according to the sign in which it happens.'

So what does this mean for you? Well, basically it means that communications will probably not go smoothly (as in misunderstandings, delays, arguments etc.). Mercury retrograde also has an effect on eletrical/mechanical functions as well. Basically anything involving any of the things listed above will be off for a few more weeks. It doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to people or go on living like you normally do, it just means you need to take precaution with a capital P. This is always a good rule but definitely even better right now: for appointments, leave more than enough to time to get there... even more than you normally would. Unexpected traffic jams, delays, forgetting items such as wallets, purses, and anything else necessary for where you're going is pretty much inevitable around this time.
