Howard K. Stern Continues Testimony - Difficult to Believe
When Howard K. Stern took the stand after lunch, he admitted that the commitment ceremony at sea was not a legal marriage ceremony. He stated that he and Anna had planned on legally marrying this week. Stern maintained that the purpose of the ceremony off the coast of the
Bahamas was to reassure Anna, as she had expressed her inability to move forward without him by her side.
Howard K. Stern maintains that the estranged relationship between Anna Nicole and her mother continued. He asserts that Anna Nicole was upset with her mother after her son, Daniel's, death. Stern and Anna were both upset that Anna's mother had gone to the press accusing the death of Daniel on Anna or Howard Stern. Stern describes Anna as distraught and irate. He says that she was expressing pure anger.
Anna was also upset that Virginia Arthur, Anna's mother, brought the media for a photo shoot to Daniel's grave site on his birthday. Stern commented that for Anna that was the last straw with her family.
When the court decided to view the Entertainment Tonight tape, the judge overruled objections that the tape had not been authenticated, nor had they seen the full film of the tape. The tape was allowed to play. Anna Nicole is shown denying that Virginia has been a mother to her, and that she doesn't even know Daniel. Evading questions about the last time she spoke with her mother, Anna Nicole, on the Entertainment tonight tape, Anna answers the questions by referring to the last time she had a beating from her mother was when she was 21 years old. Anna continued that she did call to let her mother know Danielle died. Anna found out Virginia accused her or Howard of killing Daniel from CNN News. On tape, she tells the Entertainment tonight interviewer that she would never speak to her mother again.
