Working with Shapes in Microsoft Word

Did you know that you have a thing called Auto Shapes in Microsoft Word? There are many auto shapes that you can use in Microsoft Word. Most people do not know that the shapes are there. In this tutorial I will show you how to work with the auto shapes in Microsoft Word.Open your Microsoft Word program and create a new document. Go to the top of your program and click Insert > Picture > Auto Shapes. A little shape box will pop up on your screen. Let me explain each button on that box to you.
Lines - This is the first button on the box. You can draw curved lines, scribble lines, arrows, and freeform lines. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
Connectors - The second button is lines that you can use to connect other lines and shapes. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
Basic Shapes - The third button is the basic shapes button. You have many shapes in this menu. You have the square, heart, smiley, moon, rainbow, and more. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
Arrows - The next button is the arrow button. There are many different types of arrows in this menu. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
Flow Chart - The next button has your different charts. You can make diagrams and stuff with these charts. This is where your connectors will come in good. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
Stars and Banners - The next button is your stars and banners. This menu has different types of stars and banners to choose from. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
Callouts - The next button is where you have your talk bubbles. Hold the button down and wait for the other menu to drop down and then select which one you want to use.
More Auto Shapes - This button will bring up more shapes on the right of your screen. You can also go online to get more shapes.
