Movie marathon nights are so much fun. Spending the whole night watching films can be so relaxing and is a nice escape from the real world. I and my boyfriend often have movie marathon nights and they are different almost every time. Here are just a few of the ways we enjoy a movie marathon night.

Genre

This is probably the most popular way to have a movie marathon night. This also works very well at holidays. You could have a marathon where you show scary films at Halloween or romantic comedies at Valentine's Day. During the rest of the year, you could enjoy a movie marathon night filled with action flicks or even comedies.

Star

Another great way to have a movie marathon night is to pick your favorite actor/actress and watch all your favorites. For example, I might watch several Alan Rickman films. A perfect thing for a girl's night in would be to have a movie marathon night where you watched films starring several Hollywood hunks. You could look for films that had several of your favorites starring together.

Each Person Picks

Sometimes people can't agree on movies. So a wonderful thing for couples to do is to have a movie marathon night where each person gets to pick a film to watch. For example, a guy might choose to watch an action flick and his partner may choose a romantic comedy. It means a lot to each person when their partner spends time watching a movie that they don't like, because it means you care enough to go through anything just to be with them.

How to Have a Movie Marathon Night: The Food

You must have good food when you have a movie marathon night. You can order pizza or pick up some Chinese, but why not make it more interesting than that?

Everyone Brings a Dish

If you are inviting friends, have each friend bring a different dish. This always works out wonderfully. This way you get to have all sorts of different dishes without having to cook hardly a thing. The best part is, it's like enjoying a buffet while watching all your favorite movies.
