How to Prepare For a Job Interview
-One of the most important things is to get plenty of rest the night before an interview, so you are completely alert. You want to show the employer that you are very attentive by listening to every word he or she is saying rather than ready to doze off after every word spoken. Be on top of your game, so you are sharp as a nail during the interview and get plenty of sleep.
-Second, even if you have gotten good-nights sleep it can still be a disaster in the morning if you don't give yourself enough time to wake up. Wake up early way before your scheduled interview, so you can have enough time to get ready. Have your cup of coffee or juice, read the paper or watch the news on TV, get a work-out in, have your breakfast in the morning. Whatever your morning routine is, do just that to take your mind off the job interview and relieve the stress. Eating a meal is the key to success because you do not want to go to the interview on an empty stomach. If you did, then the employer would hear your stomach growling and instead of you listening to what he or she has to say, you're thinking about what sounds good to eat. So, just eat something-plain and simple.
Third, make sure you look your absolute best because employers definitely consider appearance to be high on the list when looking at possible employees. Pick out your nicest outfit and iron it if need be for a polished look. Dress to impress is a motto to stand by when preparing for an interview, never fails. You also want to make sure you have showered, shaven, cut your finger nails, brushed your teeth and hair, put on deodorant, and remember to just smell good period. Hygiene is obviously very important and goes hand in hand with appearance.
