Does Hannah Montana Make You Sick?

Hannah Montana Peanut Chocolate Granola Bars Recalled for Possible Salmonella Contamination

"Hannah Montana," the popular television series, may be an Emmy Award-nominated show, but Hannah Montana Peanut Chocolate Granola Bars won't be winning any awards! Just when you thought the peanut butter scare was over and food recalls could not get any stranger, last Tuesday, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Peanut Corporation of America issued a safety recall of Disney's Hannah Montana Peanut Chocolate Granola Bars due to possible salmonella contamination.

Hannah Montana Peanut Chocolate Granola Bars Possibly Contaminated with Salmonella

The Hannah Montana granola bars, which come in packages with the face of Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana on the wrappers, contain nut products that were part of the same peanut recall that hit the U.S. and Canada earlier this year. Those tasty tainted Hannah Montana granola treats contain the same peanut products (butter/paste, and other peanut parts) that have been recalled in the U.S. and Canada by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) due to salmonella contamination.

Recall Provides New Material for Hannah Montana Jokes

The manufacturer is voluntarily recalling the granola bars. Nobody has died from eating a Hannah Montana Peanut Chocolate Granola Bar yet. In fact, there have been no confirmed illnesses in Canada due to snacking on the Hannah Montana granola bars. But this food recall puts a whole new spin on Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana jokes. If you are one of those who has claimed that Hannah Montana makes you sick or that Miley's latest provocative photos on the web in her underwear or bikini make you want to throw up, you might be in good company now!
