Lost planet game play is in the setting of a frozen planet named E.D.N. that is filled with virtually empty cities. Akrid creatures have thermal energy that is needed by humans. In order to survive the harshness of the planet, humans began hunting and killing Akrid creatures for their heat and energy needs. As it often happens with humans, they become greedy and begin fighting one another to take control of the Akrid energy resources.
The goal of this shooter style Xbox 360 game is to kill monsters and take over the planet. Game players have the option of playing Lost Planet by themselves or with other people from all over the world. The unique feature with the Xbox 360 game, Lost Planet is the weapons. There is a large array of weapons for the game including rocket launchers, vital suits, vehicles, gattling gun, plasma grenades, lasers, sniper rifles, shotguns and more. The weapons are easy to find and fairly easy to use different combinations.
Another exciting and fun feature of the Xbox 360 game, Lost Planet, is the battle mode. There can be teams of eight people competing with other teams of eight people. With a large map area and plenty of monsters at different levels, there is always action in Lost Planet. Even the single player mode version of Lost Planet is action packed with battles and monsters. Monsters attack in waves and from all directions. The screen is literally packed with action and explosions.
The graphics for this Xbox 360 game are primarily focused on the huge scale of the planet. There is more attention to detail of the mechs, weapons, and monsters in Lost Planet then on the details to terrain. One of the nice features about the graphics of Lost Planet is the explosion and smoke affects from weapons that are being fired. There are massive caverns to explore in Lost Planet. In addition there a few cut scenes to enjoy as part of the game play.
