Looking for some fun vintage crafts that will allow you to display your vintage marble collection in a new way. Well, these Vintage Marble frames are super easy to make and can add quite a bit o whimsical color!

These Vintage Marble creations can be used to decorate the fireplace mantel or even the China buffet. Simple and colorful Vintage Marbles make this craft project fun and easy for kids too!

To make this simple Vintage Marble picture frame you will need:

Vintage Marbles 1 inexpensive wood picture frame

Hot glue

Primer

Paint

Paint Brushes

Sand Paper

Photograph

Grout (optional)

I find great little wooden picture frames at the dollar store, flea markets, yard sales, and even Wal Mart. They are super cheap and perfect to turn into this simple Vintage Marble frame craft project.

So, the first thing I like to do is lightly sand the picture frame. Make sure you take the back off and the glass out.

Wipe off any dust.

Paint on a layer of primer.

Now, once that has dried go ahead and paint your picture frame in any color you like. The whole reason to paint this frame is that you can see it behind the Vintage Marbles, so you want it to match.

Once the paint had dried you can start to glue on your Vintage Marbles.

Now, if you want to grout around your Vintage Marbles you will need to use tile adhesive to glue them to the frame. If you do not want to grout then use hot glue.

For an elegant look try gluing all one color Vintage Marbles onto the frame.

You can run a bead of hot glue along the frame and start pushing the back of the Vintage Marble into the glue.

Don't forget to cover the sides of the frame with Vintage Marbles as well.

Now, if you used all one color Vintage Marbles you should glue on a fun little ribbon on the top middle of the picture frame. Look for a little fun and a sparkly ribbon or even a vintage ribbon.

For a fun and girly look you could use all pink Vintage Marbles to cover the entire picture frame. Glue on a fun little purple ribbon and put a picture of your little girl in there.

To really preserve this simple Vintage Marble frame let the glue dry completely for about 2 days.

Takeaways
  • Once the paint had dried you can start to glue on your Vintage Marbles.
  • If you do not want to grout then use hot glue.
  • For an elegant look try gluing all one color Vintage Marbles onto the frame.
