Coin toss game
This is great for children to play. If you have a child who is struggling with math try this game. I love games that teach the children things. Its even better when they think they are just having fun and have no idea that they are learning. Number each section of the egg carton. Place the box a decent distance away from the kids. Give them each a few coins or rocks to throw in the carton. You can do addition or times tables with this game depending on the age of the children. Have them add up the numbers and the one with the highest wins.
Jewelry Organizer
Another great project for the kids or your self. Give your children some markers and crayons and let them decorate the egg carton. Adults can paint or cover it with fabric. Store any small pieced of jewelry in the holes. This makes it very easy to store things so you can find them faster when needed. If you line the inside lid with foam you can poke all your earnings through the foam. Throw all the backings in an egg hole. This makes it very easy to find that pair of earning you needed.
Seed Starter
If you like to garden or plant flowers in the spring time then these egg cartons will come in handy. Punch a hole in the bottom of each cup. Fill with potting soil and slightly water. Plant one or two seeds per cup and cover with plastic wrap. Uncover the cups when the seeds begin to sprout.
Bird feeder
Remove the lid and put aside for another project. Let the kids decorate the outside of the carton if wanted to. Poke a hole in each corner of the carton. Firmly attached a string through each hole. Gather the strings together at the center and double knot. Fill each hole with bird seed. Take outside and hang on a tree. The birds will love you for this.
