This is 2007. The buzz around the town is Web2.0 and Blogging. Bloggers are more active than ever. The blog community has grown by leaps and bound. Every day there are new signups for owning and running a blog. Why is there so much rush. The question is why do bloggers blog.

Here are 6 reasons why bloggers blog.

Money. Its all about the money. No brainer. Before Google Adsense became popular, generating revenue from blogs wasnt for everyone. However that has changed. Now any average Joe in the country could make money from blogs by displaying advertisements. There are alot of affliate sites you could tie up with to make money. Money is the driving force to blog. Wouldnt it be nice to pocket some extra money for the things we always wanted to buy, but did not. Ofcourse alot of bloggers wouldnt admit that, but money always plays a part in it. Noteworthy places from where you can make money are Adsense, Agloco, Amazon, TmiWireless.

Fame. Everyone wants to be famous. Earlier everybody wanted to be on radio, TV, newspaper or movies. You could make it to any one of the mediums if you were really rich, smart and pretty or really dumb, stupid and ugly. In the late 90's the world of blog took off. Now even you and me can be famous. There will be an audience to listen to you. If your blog really does well, you could be a blog celebrity. Few blogs who have made it to the world of fame are problogger.net, JohnChow and ShoeMoney. They are few of the most seeked out bloggers.

Knowledge Transfer. Then there are those few, that are not really blogging for money or fame. But they want to share information. They want to share their experience and find like-minded audience. These type of bloggers are widely appreciated in the community.

Sell Products. You have developed this amazing product and you would love to sell it to the world. However you werent able to market your product due to budget constraints or any reason for that matter. Blogging can be an excellent medium to promote the product. When you relate to the world as that nice guy who wants his audience to try out this product, people do respond. Atleast they would check out the product.

This is actually the type of article I thought of writing myself :) I did a search online under blogs just to make sure it hadn't already been accepted by AC. Then I found your article. I liked your article. I blog basically because I like to read my own writing on the web :P I enjoy writing for the sake of writing but if I make money with it, it's just getting paid for something I love to do :)
