The first introduction of my new acquaintance was unexpected. It was also one that would last for years to come. One glance at the television put me in the life of a woman who would later become very famous. Her name was Anna Nicole Smith, a blonde-haired lady from Houston, Texas. When we met, she was in the middle of a nasty legal battle over her late husband's estate. It was not until the court battle when I found out that Anna Nicole Smith was a Playboy model. I never paid much attention to her occupation before, as I was a mere grade school student. However, when I met Anna Nicole Smith, it seemed that Playboy was the only good thing going on in her life. She had modeled for the popular men's magazine and other entities including the Guess jeans clothing company. She even stated that she wanted to be the next Marilyn Monroe. Despite her budding modeling career, Anna Nicole Smith became very popular among media journalists during her court battle with her late husband's son.
Our media relationship had begun. During the following years, I watched as Anna Nicole Smith had become a film and television actress. She appeared in several movies including Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult and Be Cool, starring John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Anna Nicole Smith also hosted her own reality television show, "The Anna Nicole Show" on the E! cable television network. The show was the highest rated series on the network among its debut.
By this time, I had come to know Anna Nicole Smith as a joyful woman who was constantly surrounded by gossip and scandals. However, I also knew her as a popular woman who used her celebrity to benefit her both professionally and financially. Anna Nicole Smith had become a household name. She was known as widely as Paris Hilton, Janet Jackson and other famous celebrities. This woman was constantly in my life. I learned new things about her by turning on the television and from magazines at the local grocery store.
How I Met Anna Nicole Smith
Anna Nicole Smith deserves to be able to rest in peace without the media and loved ones using her for personal gain.
