In 1965 an observation made by Gordon Moore, co-founder of Intel, stated that the numbers of transistors per square inch on integrated circuits will double every year. This phenomenon became known as "Moore's Law" and was later modified with the current revision stating that "data density will double approximately every 18 months." One very observable result of Moore's Law has no doubt been the World Wide Web. Nothing in the history of mankind has exerted the kind of influence at such an alarming rate, as has the internet. Its gravitational pull has not been limited to just a specific region - the tentacles of hyperspace have reached global proportions. But exactly how has this sphere of influence changed our daily lives and the way we do business? And how has our economy been affected? Let's examine some of these factors.
