Top 5 Games Shown at the 2009 Game Developers Conference

Once an insider-only occasion, the Game Developers Conference has quickly become of the biggest gaming events for the industry. It has evolved into a platform for the latest announcements and revealing. Here are the top five games shown at this year's Game Developers Conference. Please
 note that games shown behind closed doors (God of War III, Uncharted 2: Drake's Fortune) or via vague video teasers (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) won't be on the list.

5. Infamous (Playstation 3)

Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment, Developer: Sucker Punch Productions, Release Date: June

After Killzone 2, the next big Playstation 3 exclusive game is Infamous. The open-world superhero game is shaping up nicely. The latest update includes moral choices via the karma system and an incredibility deep ability system. These new additions add even more depth to the game. Infamous is well on tracked to becoming one of the best exclusive titles on the Playstation 3.

4. Punch-Out!! (Nintendo Wii)

Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo/Next Level Games, Release Date: May 18

The classic boxing series is back after a 15-year absence. Even after the longer hiatus, Punch-Out!! on the Nintendo Wii still maintain its tip-top form of timing-based intense fights. With cel-shaded visuals and animations that stay true to the series (not to mention the inclusion of classic control scheme), Punch-Out!! is easily the most anticipated Nintendo Wii game so far in 2009.

3. Fat Princess (Playstation 3)

Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment, Developer: Titan Studios, Release Date: Summer

Since it was revealed in last July, Fat Princess just keeps getting better and better. This 32-player capture-the-flag game replaces flags with hungry princesses. But that is just a small portion of Fat Princess. The Playstation Network exclusive also feature a deep class system, unique map layouts and numerous other modes. There wasn't a better downloadable game at the Game Developers Conference than Fat Princess.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata today challenged a crowd of game developers to think differently and take a fresh approach to the creation of video games.
Three years later, the highly-anticipated, "real" sequel to the original Ninja Gaiden is set to be released on the Xbox 360 in early 2008. Ninja Gaiden II looks to not only match, but surpass its predecessor.
When Ninja Gaiden was released on the Xbox in 2004, it was considered to be one of the greatest Xbox video games of all time.
One of the best action games on the Xbox 360 is heading to the Playstation 3 with additional content. Ninja Gaiden Sigma II will be coming out in Japan in the autumn months.
