How to Keep Your Boyfriend

I have been in relationships ever since I was thirteen years old. Some were long lasting and some weren't, and I always wondered what I did in those that kept them around. This list isn't because I have done these things, they are things I haven't done, and I assume they are the things that guys like.

Don't be self consciences.
For some reason guys expect us to love ourselves. I figure guys don't feel the same emotions we do about our looks and body. Now girls have different reasons for different self conscience views, but guys love a girl who loves their own body.

Do not be a hater.
I have been told by many of my guy friends that men totally dislike it when a girl has to make a point to disrespect another girl. If a man is walking down a street with their girlfriend and all their girlfriend can say is how ridiculous all the other girls around them are, they get a little agitated.

Don't Demand.
Men do not like being told what to do. When you want something, ask for it; don't tell them to get it. This could push your guy away faster than anything else.

Don't try and change who they are.
This one even I don't get. Girls like to get to know guys before they date them, wouldn't they know most if not all their bad habits before that happened? If you don't like something about a guy before you date them, don't expect it to change, because most of the time it won't

Do not push something onto a guy.
If they don't want to do something, they won't. If they say no, leave it at that.

Don't tell them who they can and cannot hang out with.
Guys need their friends, female or male. Their friends are their outlet, they will most of the time choose them over you. Do not give them the opportunity to do that.

Don't be immature at the wrong times.
Yeah, making jokes can be a great way to have fun, but if you do it too much it can be more annoying then funny. If you and your partner are having a romantic moment and all you can do is sit there and take it as a joke, it will cause frustration. They don't like knowing their girlfriend can't be serious, and will never take you seriously.
