On Fox News' Website an article by Roger Friedman, "Broke Jackson to Tour Again" (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,254141,00.html) for its entertainment section, claims that Michael and Janet Jackson are hoping to reverse their career misfortunes by planning with their singing siblings. Michael Jackson's career has been beset by many problems, including a changing musical scene, as well as, his propensity to overshadow his musical output with outlandish publicity stunts that do more harm than good. Before her "wardrobe malfunction" Janet Jackson seemed immune to career dips, maneuvering a healthy musical career for over a decade with nary a flop in sight. Unfortunately, she has suffered career dips similar to that of her legendary brother, though there is still hope for Janet Jackson. Pop music loves a comeback, as seen by second acts from Cher and Tina Turner (even former Jackson choreographer-turned pop star Paula Abdul has managed a second life), and Jackson's still very talented. All she needs to do is follow these steps and she'll be fine.

You're Sexy, We Get It, Already
Jackson's last two albums, Damita Jo (Virgin) and 20 Y.O. (Virgin) didn't flop soley to bad publicity: they flopped because they were boring. Jackson's been harping about how sexy and alluring she is for the past decade, and the schtick is getting stale. Jackson started out in the 1980's by being refreshingly chaste, usually covered head-to-toe in boxy suits and blazers. In the early 1990's, she allowed the public to see her now-iconic abs, and she started to purr naughty lyrics on her 1993 blockbuster album, janet. (Virgin). The monstrously successful record spawned a slew of hit singles and gave Jackson a Grammy and an Oscar nomination. The album was a witty surprise from a singer whose trademark up until then was her tendency to doll herself up in male bouncer drag.

Did You Know?
Janet Jackson is the youngest of 9 siblings - all performers. In 1991, her $40 million dollar contract with Virgin Records was, at the time, the largest record deal in history (eclipsed shortly after by brother Michael's deal with Sony).

Janet Jackson does not need to look into any of madonna's connections to succeed at what she's doing. If that was the case she would have done it already. Keep up the good work Janet!!!!!!!!
