Ranking the Capcom Five Games

Back in late 2002, Capcom showcased a group of titles for the Nintendo Gamecube. These exciting games, eventually known as the Capcom Five, were supposed to help boost the hardware sales of the Gamecube. Although it failed on that aspect as most games ended
up appearing on the rival Playstation 2, a majority these titles ended up being loved by hardcore gamers. So which of the Capcom Five ended up being the best of the group? Let's rank the titles.

5. Dead Phoenix (Nintendo Gamecube)

Release Date: Never

Dead Phoenix is a promising flight combat game featuring a winged individual. The art style is somewhat similar to the Playstation game, Legend of Dragoon. You get to fight through entire armies in addition to gigantic beasts. Unfortunately, this Capcom Five title was never released as it got cancelled before completion. It was a little ironic given that it was named Dead Phoenix.

4. P.N.03 (Nintendo Gamecube)

Release Date: September 9, 2003

P.N.03 (short for Product Number Three) had the most initial hype out of the Capcom Five. After all, the game was being directed by legendary game designer Shinji Mikami. However, the femme fatalestylish action game suffered from lackluster visuals and shallow gameplay. Still, the Nintendo Gamecube exclusive title drew a cult following despite being a flawed game.

3. Killer7 (Playstation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube)

Release Date: July 7, 2005

Killer7 is certainly the weirdest title in the Capcom Five. The unique cel-shaded visuals seemed normal when compared to the rest of the wacky elements in the game. Killer7's story uses heavy symbolism and is full of awkward moments. Furthermore, the gameplay is a unique mixture of on-rails with first-person shooting. Although it may not be for everyone, Killer7 is a solid title amidst its unconventionality.

2. Viewtiful Joe (Playstation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube)

Release Date: October 7, 2003 (Nintendo Gamecube) and August 24, 2004 (Playstation 2)
