It is about a 2 and a half hour trip to Penn Station in New York City by Amtrak and it is the home of Albany International Airport. The New York State Thruway runs right through Albany, and it is a short trip to the Canadian Border. With the prices of one family homes being reasonable compared to other major cities, condos are just not a viable fixture.
