I recently planned to take a trip to Outback Steakhouse. Unfamiliar with their hours of operation, I called ahead for more information. I expected an answering machine with prerecorded information such as their business hours and address. Although the restaurant did not open for another five hours, a gentleman answered the call and not only gave me the requested information, but recommended that I use the new call ahead service. His helpful attitude was so refreshing that I made my reservation on the spot.

Four days later, I arrived with six other people in my party. We arrived nearly a half hour earlier than I had planned. Without hesitation, we were promptly taken to our seats. The person seating our party of seven made certain we had adequate room and that we were comfortable before tending to their other duties.

Our waiter promptly introduced himself and asked for our drink order. He also gathered our appetizer request and was off to head for the kitchen. We had made our selection of entrees quickly based on the menu available from the internet prior to arriving to make things easier. When served our drinks, we placed our order. Before we had time to take a restroom break, the appetizers were on the table. .

We were enjoying our fabulous appetizers when the salads arrived, briefly followed by the entrees.

During the course of the meal, our waiter stopped by the table to see if there was anything we needed and how we liked the cuisine. Our drinks were promptly refilled during the meal. When it came to the dessert, all orders were accurate. My special request order was met to my satisfaction. With the complexity of my children's orders, the service exceeded my expectations.
