I enjoyed eating at Greek Village Inn in Sacramento, California. This is a Greek restaurant that will give you a taste of wonderful Greek food. There are many reasons that I give them an excellent rating.

The service is friendly and upbeat. When my husband and I walked into the restaurant the hostess greeted us with a nice smile and eye contact. She asked how many people would like to be seated. I told her two. She walked us to our table and asked how our day is going before handing us the menus at our table. Her friendly smile and interest in our day made us feel valued as customers. Then she told us our server would be with us soon. The server came to our table about two minutes later with some water and pita bread with condiments. At the same time he gave us an upbeat greeting with a big smile. He asked if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. He asked us if we wanted to start off with an appetizer. I asked him what was good. He gave us a couple of suggestions. We thought the dolmas sounded good so we ordered that. We ordered our entrees, which were reasonable priced. I ordered the gyros beef plate, which cost about eight dollars, and my husband ordered the gyros sandwich, which cost about seven dollars. He then asked us if we wanted something to drink such as soda or juice. We ordered sodas. He cracked a few jokes here and there during the ordering process, which made the dining experience fun, and entertaining. After he took my order he told us he would be back shortly with our drinks. He came back two minutes later with sodas. It only took about eighteen minutes before our food arrived. He asked if we needed anything else and told us to enjoy our meal. After a few minutes he checked back to see if we were enjoying our meal. He also refilled our waters and told us if we needed anything to let him know.

The food was excellent. My beef gyros dish was yummy. It had thin slices of beef and it came with rice, white sauce and pita bread. The food was served hot and fresh. My husband enjoyed his chicken gyros sandwich. It was in a pita bread drizzled with the white sauce. It also had lettuce and tomatoes on it.
