How to Make People Think You Know About Everything

The great English Philosopher, statesman and essayist, Francis Bacon is quoted as saying that "Knowledge is power."

While the full meaning of the quote may not be appreciated during the time of Francis Bacon, in today's inter-connected world, the quote "Knowledge is power" has found itself a deeper meaning. It could be properly said that nowadays, even information can be equated as power, such that possessing the proper information can spell the difference between failure and success.

It used to be that in order to succeed in life you must have the "breed" or you must be of proper "lineage" in order to be somebody or to achieve "success." You must come from a royal or wealthy family. Power is equated with who your family is. Later on power is equated with your "know-how." Your skills and what you can contribute to society is considered as "power." Having the necessary skills will give you a fair amount of success.

Today, the ball game is played differently. It is "what you know" that matters. Knowledge is certainly power today, and it is becoming more that way ever since.

About 120,000 books are published each year in the U.S. Each day in the U.S., people spend 4 hours watching TV, 3 hours listening to the radio and 14 minutes reading magazines. No matter how complex the human brain is, it also has its limits. You can only have a limited knowledge about everything. However if people think that you know about everything, you may reach greater heights, not only because knowledge is power but because people trust you and certain opportunities might open up to you that you have never thought was possible before. So how do you give the impression to people that you seem to know about everything? The following tips could help you:
