So you want to use your crock pot, but you've run out of things to make besides pot roast and barbequed pork loin. Here are some delicious chicken recipes that you can make in a snap with almost no preparation time at all.

Chicken with Mushroom Gravy

3 to 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 can of mushroom soup

½ cup of white wine

1 jar of mushrooms or fresh mushrooms (any size depending on your taste)

Mix the ingredients in the crock pot and cook on LOW for 8 hours. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

Preparation time - 5 minutes

Italian Cheesy Chicken Gravy Over Rice

3 to 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 packet of Good Seasons Dry Italian Dressing

1/3 cup of margarine (melted)

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 eight ounce package of cream cheese (cut in to cubes)

2 tbsp. of finely chopped onion

1/3 cup of white wine

Salt and pepper to taste

Place the chicken breasts in your slow cooker liner. Pour the dry Italian dressing over the chicken breasts and then follow with the melted butter. Cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours.

After chicken is cooked, chop it up using a spoon (the chicken should be tender enough to come apart easily). Add mushroom soup, cubed cream cheese, onion, white wine, and salt and pepper to a sauce pan and cook until creamy. Add the creamy sauce to the chicken still in the crock pot and cook on low another 30 minutes.

Serve the chicken gravy over white or brown rice.

Preparation time - 15 minutes

Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu

6 thin slices of deli ham

6 thin slices of Swiss cheese

¼ cup of flour

8 ounces of slices mushrooms

¾ cup of chicken broth

¼ cup of white wine

¼ teaspoon of rosemary

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Place chicken breasts between sheets of wax paper or plastic wrap and flatten. On each chicken breast, place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese and roll them up. Roll the chicken in flour and secure with toothpicks. Combine mushrooms, chicken broth, wine, and rosemary and pour over the chicken. Top with Parmesan cheese. Cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours.

Serve with a jar of chicken gravy or make your own gravy using the drippings from the crock pot.
