Some people would argue with me and say that it is still this way and I happen to disagree. Women took a step forward in life with the ban of bra and men have decided to take their part in helping out also.
So, how are these divided amongst the majority of the modern day couple? Easy, the couples decided to take an extra step toward helping each other out. This doesn't still mean that they split everything equal or that this has become the new golden rule, instead of splitting everything equal like most people would think that my husband and I do we split everything equal to the way that we feel they should be split.
My husband works a full time job and is the bread winner of the family. I am a stay at home mom who works mainly off of the computer. I take care of the kitchen duties and the children while he is at work. When my husband comes home, he often takes out the trash and starts a load of laundry.
My husband's duties include helping me finish up the chores for one hour after he gets home from work if there is any cleaning left to be done. My husband takes care of all duties that need to be attended too around the yard while I take care of most of the cooking and the kitchen duties.
I am thankful that I have such a helping husband who understands that even though I may not physically get up and drive to a job everyday, I still work from home and I still take care of the kids.
