Top 5 Metal Albums

These are in my opinion, the 5 best metal albums and are not in any particular order.

1. Metallica: "Ride The Lightning". This is the best Metallica album of all time. James Hetfield's lyrics get a little les rough and include a better varity of songs than on the previous album Kill 'em All. It includes all the right riffs and brilliant bass by Cliff Burton. For Whom The Bell Tolls is the one special song that makes you want to listen to the entire album. It also includes a killer intstumental call The Call Of Ktulu. Wich is one of my favorite Metallica instrumentals when they did instrumentals. A must buy album.

2. Iron Maiden: "The Number Of The Beast". This is the album made me a fan. Iron Maiden made a name for themselves on this album. This is really one of the few albums where you can listen to the entire album without leaving you bored and skipping songs. I advise you as a metal fan to buy this album. Number Of The Beast is one of the true classic albums and should be in your collection.

3. GWAR: "America Must Be Destroyed". If you like albums with greusome songs and innapropriate content then this album is for you. This is my favorite trash/shock metal album. GWAR's attempt at a gross, shocking, and sometimes downright funny album have been sucessful. Not too many killer solos, but they're not that bad either and almost no sign of a bass. Some of the more serious songs like "Poor Old Tom" and different sounding vocals keep this album from being great. But still a good buy.

4. Children of Bodom: "Are You Dead Yet?". This album is the first COB album i've ever listened to. Full of heavy licks, fast, sonic, solos, and heavy lyrics make this album killer. Alexi Laiho's vocals are hard and not sugar-coated at all. Has a nice black metal vibe to it that most of the new wave scandinavian bands have now a days.
