Super Hero Party Invitations
Superhero invitations are usually available for purchase in the card section of many stores. Choose your child's favorite hero and buy pre-made invitations. If you are feeling crafty, however, follow these directions for a "super" cute home made invitation.
Using blue, red and yellow card stock or construction paper, create Superman's chest logo. An example of this design is found easily through an online search. Sketch out the design and make a few templates. Make a large blue shield shape and a slightly smaller yellow shield shape. Make thin red trim, just smaller than the yellow shield shape. Finally, instead of making a red letter "S," Make the initial of your child's first name.
Once you have cut out and assembled all the pieces for the invitation, print out the party information on a separate sheet of paper and cut it to fit on the back of the Superman logo. Include the option for guests to come in their own "super suit" or let them know that one will be provided for them in case their suit is at the "cleaners." Have a few extra masks and capes on hand for kids with out a super suit.
Super Hero Party Decorations
Tape streamers across the ceiling of the party room and using fishing line, hang pictures of different superheroes from the ceiling.
Super Hero Party Games
Kryptonite Game: Use a green glow stick and play the same as "hot potato." Let kids sit in a circle and pass the kryptonite around while listening to music. When the music stops, the last person to have the kryptonite has to sit out. Play until there is one winner.
Spiderman Toss: Board with Velcro strips shaped like a web. Toss bugs or bad guys (with Velcro attached) at the web.
