I knew the first time I heard her voice that this would happen I just didn't know when Ms. Jennifer Kate Hudson is so amazing stepping out on the scene in 2004 on American Idol. Jennifer's voice made you know that even if she didn't win American Idol that one day we would see her again and yes it has happen. Hudson has made it known that you can still be a HUGE success and fast, even if you are not the winner of American Idol. Born September 12, 1981 in Chicago IL. Jennifer grow up singing in the church choir always having the dream as a little girl to be a singer one day. She love singing in the gospel choir. Jennifer is the perfect pretty flower that has bloomed right before our eyes. As Jennifer got older she begin to show her talent singing at local clubs and she song at weddings and small event benefits around in her neighborhood. As more time past Jennifer auditioned for hit show American Idol and out of 70,000 contestants Jennifer ended up in the top twelve competitors ending at 7th place she went on to do what she do best sing.

The casting of Dreamgirls the audition for hit movie Dreamgirls, out of seven hundred and eighty two girls that tried out for the part Jennifer got the part of Effie White in the Motion Picture Dreamgirls. Jennifer even beat out American Idol winner Fantasia Barino for the lead singer role of Effie White. Jennifer would co-star with Eddie Murphy, Jamie Fox, Beyonce Knowles, and even Danny Glover. Jennifer was overwhelmed that she would star in a film with people that she considered was her living legends. Playing the role of Effie, Jennifer had to put on an extra 20 pounds, Jennifer had problems at first with getting into the Effie role cause Effie was ruff around the edges and very outspoken not always in the most polite way, but as we know Jennifer ace the part of Effie and that is the reason why Jennifer has won a:

Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress
Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture
The British Film Award for Best Supporting Actress
A SAG Award
Jennifer just recently won a Oscar (GO JENNIFER!!) for Best Supporting Actress
