I knew the first time I heard her voice that this would happen I just didn't know when Ms. Jennifer Kate Hudson is so amazing stepping out on the scene in 2004 on American Idol. Jennifer's voice made you know that even if she didn't win American Idol that one day we would see her again and yes it has happen. The casting of Dreamgirls the audition for hit movie Dreamgirls, out of seven hundred and eighty two girls that tried out for the part Jennifer got the part of Effie White in the Motion Picture Dreamgirls. Jennifer even beat out American Idol winner Fantasia Barino for the lead singer role of Effie White. Jennifer would co-star with Eddie Murphy, Jamie Fox, Beyonce Knowles, and even Danny Glover. Jennifer was overwhelmed that she would star in a film with people that she considered was her living legends.
