When lighting the candle, think of the wonderful things that this special woman gave to you in your life. If you have a picture, put the picture near the candle. Lit candles are wonderful Mother's Day remembrance traditions.
Plant a special bush, shrub or tree for a Mother's Day remembrance. Mother's Day is in the spring each year. Not only will you be adding beauty to the yard, you will be honoring and remembering your mother. If possible, plant items that were favorites of your mom as part of the Mother's Day remembrance.
Many people only visit graves for the traditional holidays such as Easter, Christmas and birthdays. Have the family go with you to the burial site. Talk about the fun things that are remembered. Leave some flowers and even a Mother's Day card for this Mother's Day remembrance.
Use your hobbies as a way to honor your mother for Mother's Day remembrance. Make a special craft item in honor of your mother. Place the item in the center of the dining room table or the living room coffee table to remember and honor her on Mother's Day.
