She looks so sad sitting there waiting for me to finish.
She must be thinking of the tasty food within her dish.
Her sadness shows in the picture now scratched out
On the blackened canvas with lines whitened out.

The kitten shall have some whiskers soon
On her picture showing her gloom.
For right now it is mostly done,
And the kitten is eating in her home.
