My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie to this day is the 1992 Cameron Crow film "Singles" this movie came out when I was about 15 or 16 years old. I remember going to my local small town movie theater to see this film, it is a very funny yet romantic love story centered around the Seattle Washington music scene in the early 1990's. Starring Bridget Fonda, Matt Dillon, Kyra Sedgwick, Eric Stoltz, Jeremy Piven, and features countless cameo appearances by Alice In Chains, Chris Cornell, members of the band Pearl Jam and many more. This movie has an amazing soundtrack featuring the above named artists as well as many more Seattle era legends like Paul Westerberg, and many more.

When this movie came out I was just getting into the dating scene and was madly in love with grunge rock, so this film set the tone for most of my budding relationships both musically and romantically for years to come.

Matt Dillon was a easy character for me to relate to a struggling musician who put his music before love. Bridget Fonda's character was madly in love with him but he kept running hot and cold through out the film until he realized she cared for him whether or not his music was successful of failing.

Kyra Sedgwick plays a girl looking for true love but always meet Mr. wrong until she finds Campbell Scott's character in a night club one night.

Through out the film each couple struggles with their relationship's until they truly find connection at the end and realize what they have been searching for all their lives is already in their lives.

I highly recommend this movie to any grunge music fan, or as just a great romantic comedy to rent and watch on date night with your loved one.
