In my home, sex is a taboo subject. It's talked about in a very, very discreet manner, but it's still considered taboo. I'm not even allowed to say the word sex in front of my mother because she believes that it is disrespectful to do so. So, I don't say it. However, sex is a very unavoidable subject. It's everywhere you go and no matter where you go, it will be brought up. It can be innuendoes or out and out passes or just a conversation. Sex is everywhere and I'm talking about it. Here are some subjects that are worth discussing.

-Pregnancy: In Laurell K. Hamilton's book, A Kiss of Shadows, one of her characters tells the heroine that it is sex that makes the miracle of life. I have to say that this statement is the most self explanatory than anything else that I have been told. One of the last times that I went to the emergency room, it was for vertigo. However, one of the first questions that I was asked was if I was pregnant. The last time that I went to the emergency room, I literally had to take a pregnancy test. That time, I was just dehydrated. The point is, though, that the sheer mention of pregnancy makes me think about sex. Whenever I see a baby, I want one. So, that makes me think about sex. A man and a woman has to have sex 99 percent of the time to create a child. What about the other 1 percent? That has to go to the women that can't conceive through sex and the men who have issues like erectile dysfunction. They usually create lives through processes like artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization. I'm pretty sure that the statistics are probably higher than what I had pegged them out to be, but people that have trouble conceiving through sex still have it.
