Celebrity Apprentice 2009 - Joan's Anger and Piers Morgan's Return

Nine celebrities remained going into this week's episode of Celebrity Apprentice. Last week Tionne Watkins and Khloe Kardashian were fired.

Team Athena was in shock that Clint Black returned from the boardroom after his asinine behavior and idiotic viral video last week. Natalie Gulbis, Joan Rivers, and Herschel Walker remained the Celebrity Apprentice contenders on team KOTU.

Melissa Rivers, Brande Roderick, Jessie James, and Annie Duke came into this episode representing team Athena. After missing last week, Brian McKnight was assigned to work with team Athena. McKnight didn't return to Celebrity Apprentice with much heart or enthusiasm. I'd go as far as to say he was lethargic.

Celebrity Apprentice, Episode 7 Task
The initial assignment was to create a package and an in-store display for LifeLock, an identity theft protection company.

Natalie took the reins of KOTU, working through the icy tension between Joan Rivers and Clint Black. Clint continued his usual self-centered antics. Joan Rivers showed restraint in working with Clint. He needed to be smacked for being pompous and condescending.

You couldn't help but hope the little pompous man in black would be fired if team Athena didn't win.

Despite his obvious sluggishness, Brian McKnight became project manager for Athena. It was no surprise to see Annie Duke get aggressive and frustrated with McKnight's lack of leadership.

Athena was slow in getting their project design to the design construction team, but Jesse James has pulled his team out so many times in the past, it was impossible to lose confidence in his ability to get the job done --- even when he got violently ill.

Brande didn't take an active part, other than exploring the design shop asking dumb questions. She and Brian set themselves up to take the fall in the event of a loss.

Who won the task on this episode?
LifeLock executives chose KOTU's presentation as the distinctive winner.

Which Celebrity Apprentice deserved to be fired?
Brian McKnight deserved to be fired for lack of vision and lack of leadership.

Annie Duke seemed to be safe because she had taken initiative to drive the team.
