This is a fun Mother's Day gift idea that kids can craft. It is a Mother's Day gift that can encourage children to help Mom with the Spring cleaning. With a little supervision, this Mother's Day gift can be made with children ages 6 and up. It is an activity that can be done at home or in the classroom.

The approximate cost per Mother's Day gift is around $2.00 each. It should take approximately thirty minutes to complete this Mother's Day gift project.

Items Needed to Make Mother's Day Spring Cleaning Gift

· Roll of flowered paper towels

· Roll of wide ribbon

· Stapler

· Magic Markers

How to Make Mother's Day Spring Cleaning Gift

1. Tear a strip of three paper towels, leaving them connected.

2. Make a flat stack of six sets of the three paper towels.

3. Cut a piece of ribbon that is long enough to go around Mom's waist with enough ribbon to tie. The adult supervising this Mother's Day gift project can help the child estimate how much ribbon will need to be used. It is better to cut off too much ribbon. When Mom wears her new Mother's Day gift, the ribbon can always be shortened to fit better.

4. Fold the ribbon in half. Mark the center point of the ribbon with the marker.

5. Fold the stack of paper towels in half over the center of the ribbon. This is going to make the actual Mother's Day gift apron.

6. Staple the towels together on the sides at the top of the Mother's Day gift apron. Usually about three staples on each side will hold the Mother's Day gift apron together. The towels need to be secured with the staples to hold them in place.

7. The supervising adult or the child can write on the front, top part of the gift apron, the words: Spring Cleaning Apron. Tear off paper towels as needed.

8. Have the child decorate the front of the Mother's Day gift Spring cleaning apron with a picture of a flower or other Spring item. Also, have the child write their name if they know how to write. If time permits, the child can make a picture on each paper towel.

Talk to the child about how much Mom cleans and cooks for everyone in the family. Give the child ways to help Mom with cleaning, such as picking up tools, dusting or sweeping.

Good article. And thanks for the comments on my sex offender article. I could tell you more stories than you'd care to hear about the joke of sex offender registries. Maybe in another artilce... :>)
