Spa Wisdom Blissful Body Cleanser from The Body Shop was a product that I had purchased and forgotten all about. I recently found it in the cabinet and put it by my bathtub so I could test it out. It is a unique product in the way that it is not the typical body scrub or bath or shower gel.

Spa Wisdom Blissful Body Cleanser

This product is described as "a balm" by The Body Shop. Spa Wisdom Blissful Body Cleanser comes in a 6.75 fl. oz. tube and retails for $18.00 a tube. The product contains coconut milk and bamboo as key ingredients, along with beeswax.

The Body Shop describes it as the perfect product to "Indulge in a gently exfoliating, cleansing and softening 3-in-1 balm with an exotic coconut scent and skin-refining bamboo" experience.

The Body Shop believes in using organic and natural ingredients and this product uses several for taking care of skin. The bamboo in this product is used for gentle exfoliating action. Coconut oil is a moisturizer that softens skin. Coconut milk softens and protects the skin and beeswax softens and moisturizes the skin and acts as a barrier to keep skin soft and moisturized. Spa Wisdom Blissful Body Cleanser also contains glycerin, which also moisturizes skin and provides for natural hydration of the skin.

Directions for Use

The package states to use this product on wet or dry skin. Smooth on, massage into skin and rinse.

My Thoughts on Blissful Body Cleanser

When I first used Spa Wisdom Blissful Body Cleanser, I wasn't convinced that this would be a great product. I wasn't impressed with the thick formula of the product. It has the consistency of a very thick gel that is in the hardening process. With that being said, you have to spread it on your bath puff or wash cloth with your finger. I also found that it did not adhere well to my wet skin. It just wanted to glide or slide over the slick surface without producing any cleansing effects.

I next tried the product on a dry area of skin on my arm and it went on much better. Adding in a bit of water made the product spread and get to work.
