These beautiful golden moon embossed glass chargers will certainly add a hint of glamour to your next dinner party! Each one should come out a little unique, which makes them ever more fun.

For this craft, you will need:

- 13" clear glass charger plates (such as those found at Savon Crafts, http://www.save-on-crafts.com/baseplates.html)

- Yes® Glue, or any glue that will adhere to glass and dry clear

- A paintbrush

- A small roller

- Waxed paper

- Acrylic paint (optional)

- A cardboard box large enough for the plate to fit into

- Krylon® Gloss enamel spray paint, in gold or silver

- Gold cardstock paper

- Watermark Ink

- Gold embossing powder

- Heat embossing tool

- Large moon rubber stamp

Start by taking the plate and putting it face down on your work space. (You will be working with the bottom of the plate, so that the design shows through the glass.) Using the paintbrush, coat a three inch by three inch square of cardstock fully with watermark ink. Apply a generous coat of embossing powder, and heat set using the embossing tool. Before the embossing has dried, press the stamp firmly into the center causing an indentation. Allow the paper to dry fully, before cutting the moon shape out.

Using another square of cardstock, apply more watermark ink and embossing powder. Heat set and allow the paper to dry fully. Cut out as many star shapes as you desire.

Next, with the paintbrush gently apply the Yes® Glue gently to the front of the moon shape. Make sure you coat the paper evenly before adhering to center of the glass charger. Arrange the paper stars on the back of the plate and adhere. Continue to do this until all the paper stars are glued on.

Place a sheet of wax paper, just larger than the size of the plate, over the back of the plate. Gently use the roller over the top of the paper to eliminate any air bubbles and smooth the surface.

Remove the wax paper, and clean the glass to remove any excess glue. Allow the plate to dry completely, which may take a couple hours.

Takeaways
  • Each one should come out a little unique, which makes them ever more fun.
  • You will be working with the bottom of the plate, so that the design shows through the glass.
  • These plates are hand wash only when finished.
