Today's the big day. Feels good doesn't it? Today you are going to casually go to work, saunter up to your boss and say, " I'm putting in my two weeks."

After you let the cat out of the bag, you snickerd to yourself because you could tell that your boss was surprised. You were a rising star and it's his loss. Did you have another job waiting for you? Nope. You just had to get away from that job so badly that you didn't even care if you wouldn't be getting a paycheck for the next few weeks. Your boss should have know that you were quitting, right? All of the signs were there.

What am I saying? Even you aren't aware of the official signs that you should quit your job. Here they are.

You are required to do things that are unethical to you such as lying or recruiting family members as customers.

If you have to lie and tell someone that a mortgage cost "x" amount when you know that it will cost "z" amount after taxes and other add-ons, your job may be asking too much of you.

Your supervisor is stingy with your time.

If you feel that you have to tip toe around your boss in order to get your 15 minutes or half an hour break, you may have go somewhere else where you are more appreciated. Also, if your boss feels unappreciated because you aren't always chained to your desk while eating your lunch, observe that if you were at your desk eating lunch, you would still not be getting a break.

Your supervisor does not care about your time.

When you request time off, you get excited. You have something important to do, right? You are on your way to Disney World with the wife and kids. You have an interview for a better job. Well, if for some reason you request time off and often look at the schedule only to see that your boss has forgotten to give you that time off, you probably should get on careerbuilder or monster.com today. Start looking for a job that is more organized with a boss who knows how to make a simple work schedule.

Your duties are constantly changing, and you know you weren't told that you would have to clean bathrooms in the interview.
