Hormones are one of the misunderstood happenings in the body. While many women suffer through hormones changing while they are menstruating, the misconception with women and hormones is that they are just in a bad mood. This isn't necessarily the case.

Women who are menstruating, their hormones are out of balance and thus causing their bodies to create mood swings, under normal circumstances, that are beyond their control. There are some foods, over the counter medications, and prescribed medications that can help keep hormones in check as well as the mood swings.

Mood swings aren't the only thing that can happen due to a hormonal imbalance during the period. There are other symptoms that occur during a woman's menstruation cycle that can cause a woman to feel her world is out of control.

Hormone changes are not the only thing that happens during a menstruation cycle. There are other physical changes that occur during the menstruation cycle that cause a woman to feel and act differently than she does at any other time.

Normally, most women feel these changes occur during a one to two week periods. There are emotional and physical symptoms that occur that cause hormones and other areas of the body to fly out of control.
