If you haven't noticed the parking situation around campus during the recent months you either don't own a car, or you probably just don't go to this college.

Students have been asked to play magical parking spaces during the past semester due to various reasons such as construction and the school not seeming to care whether or not they actually have enough spaces for students to park their cars. This may seem harsh, but if they did care, they would have come up with a space for students to put their cars before they decided to build yet another dorm like building to bring in more students with more cars.

It is not enough that there isn't enough parking to go around, but students have to be alert to various forms of inadequate campus communication to know if the car they legally parked two days ago is actually going to be illegally parked tomorrow.

During a recent parking announcement, the message ended by claiming that if students couldn't find parking, they should call campus security. If campus security knows where there is parking available, why can't the students know?

There was also a proposed plan floating around that students would be able to park somewhere in Garrettsville and take a shuttle to and from Hiram. Due to the fact that the spaces usually evaporate as the night goes on, it is likely that the students who are coming back from work, or wherever, very late at night, would be the ones who needed to use this shuttle. In addition to this being ridiculous when one is getting to campus, it would also make a journey off campus take even longer since the student would have to leave even earlier to make their appointment.
