If there ever was a special year to visit Hershey Pennsylvania, this year is it. It is the 100th anniversary year of Hershey Park and they are doing it up in a big way. The Park has come a long way since 1907, and so has the community around it. Hershey Pennsylvania has something for the chocoholic in everyone. If Milton Hershey could see what has happened to his park, he would approve big time. He loved fun and good times and his dream of a special fun place has been taken to new heights and this year they are putting the icing on the cake for a very special celebration.

New this year for the 100th anniversary, is Hershey Boardwalk with 100 special attractions. And just to give you a little glimpse into summer in Hershey Pennsylvania you can enjoy a Doo Woop Show, go to a wine sampling, go to a classic car show, see a county music concert, attend special events at the gardens, and of course play on the super golf courses.

Hershey's Chocolate World is a must see anytime and this year it is very special. If you have been here before, you have to come back this year. It is all new with new characters and at the end everyone gets a chocolate treat. A great way to see Hershey, especially on rainy days when walking around is not advised and you do not want to be sitting in a hotel room all day is the Hershey Trolley Works. They leave from in front of Chocolate World and get your tickets early. You can ride around Hershey, Pennsylvania, take in all the sights from a nice dry trolley and decide what to come back and see when the weather clears, and it will.

Make sure you pick up some of the special commemorative items. These will be sold this year only and collectors will be hunting them down a few years from now.

I live close enough to Hershey to go there anytime -- I really take it for granted. You can also check out the abandoned airport next to the park, if you're into urban exploration.
