No Way Out was a misstep in a hot period for WWE creatively and in the box office on the road to Wrestlemania. With that said the event did have its moments, including a star-filled main event that delivered in the ring. In what hopefully becomes a semi-regular feature, we will look at PPV's ranging from the last one at the time of the writing and seeing if it would be worth the purchase on DVD. There are various factors in whether or not an individual will purchase a DVD of a wrestling event. Match quality and historical value will be the two most concentrated on. The reviews will obviously not be written for people who have to have every event ever made by WWE or TNA. This is for people with a more critical eye. We'll go match by match starting with.

Chris Benoit and the Hardys versus MVP and MNM

The match: The match was a solid PPV opener between six capable wrestlers. Unfortunately this event needed more than a solid match, especially between wrestlers who can have a very good match.

Historical Value: Nothing historical happened in this match, just a thrown together tag match, probably to get Chris Benoit on the card.

Watch or Skip: This match is one of the highlights of the show, so although it was "just good", if you bother picking this up, you should give this match a look.

Cruiserweight open for the Cruiserweight championship: Gregory Helms versus Scotty 2 Hotty versus Davari versus Funaki versus Jamie Noble versus Jimmy Wang Yang versus Chavo Guerrero

The match: The match was basically a microcosm of what WWE thinks of its cruiserweight division. Sure the match went 15 minutes, but it was full of quick falls, many of said falls around the two minute mark. It was ok, but could have been better if it had been longer or a one on one match.

Historical Value: Gregory Helms lost the cruiserweight title after a year long run; of course he hardly defended the title on television which makes the historical moment lose a bit of its luster.

Watch or Skip: The match was nothing to go out of one's way to see, unless you are interested in Helms losing the title.

Fit Finlay and Hornswaggle versus the Boogeyman and the little Boogeyman

Takeaways
  • Average show at best highlighted by a star studded and satisfying main event
