The CIA and Their Drug Smuggling History

I know you have probably heard it all before, and you probably wrote it off as paranoia. But the truth is our government (the United States govt) has been conspiring with drug smugglers for the better part of the last hundred years. This in spite of the fact that they demonize those who deal in the drug trade as well as those who use the so called illicit substances. It does not take a rocket scientist to see how and why this is. First of all the trade of drugs like heroin and cocaine is a billion dollar a year industry and is dealt mostly in cash.

The cash element is essential to the drug trade as cash provides anonymity, which as we know is the key component to the methodology of the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). One can hardly blame the CIA for involving themselves in the drug trade, after all drug trafficking is such a lucrative business (particularly in the third world) that it would prove to be impossible to conduct any sort of successful espionage program without dealing with the ruling class of a country which invariably were and are the drug lords. Not to mention the fact that by successfully integrating themselves in such a prosperous business the CIA has managed to create a source of income exempt from probing government eyes. Because they have millions and millions of blood and drug stained dollars to play with they do not need federal funds to finance their operations as such they attain a level of autonomy that would have been impossible if they had "played by the rules" after all wouldn't you as a tax payer want to know where your money is going? Of course you would but since this is not your money per-say they don't have to report anything to you or your representatives on capital hill.
