Irish pubs are known for their comfortable, atmosphere's with wood surfaces, tasty beverages and hearty pub food. The original pubs, or public houses, were gathering places for local people. The entire family would come to the pub to eat, drink and discuss politics. Most of these pubs are more Americanized versions, a mixture of the old and new world. There are delicious foods on the menus with some traditional Irish pub food and some modernized American food. Here are some of Baltimore's Irish pubs.

Located in the historic Charles St. Business District, this pub draws a diverse crowd from the area. there bar food has ND local awards. Their dining menu includes dishes such as Ploughman's platter, Guinness Steamed Shrimp, New York Strip, Bangers & mash, crab cakes, shepherd's pie, corned beef & cabbage, fish & chips, and meatloaf. They also have soups, salads, sandwiches and great burgers.

Menu includes appetizers, soups,, salads, sandwiches, traditions Irish favorite, an entrees. Traditional Irish Favorites include fish & chips, Irish stew, Shepherd's pie, Irish seafood chowder, and bangers & mash. Authentic Irish Food and beverages are served in inviting pub. The interior has wall murals, upholstered high bar stools and table seating. There are two bars. The world "slainte" means "cheers - to your health". Menu of traditional Irish Ales and pub grub.

There's also a nice family-friendly Irish pub right across the alley from me in Canton called Mike McGovern's. I believe the address is 1121 South Clinton Street.
