Make Easy Sock Puppets with Your Kids

Sock Puppets are easy to make and they can keep kids entertained for a long time just making them and then playing with them. Kids love to put on puppet shows. By pulling the sofa out from the wall your kids can have a quick easy stage to show puppets show at. They just sit on the floor and hold there hand up above the back of the sofa for a performance with there puppets. Sock puppets are fun, easy and creative to make.

Spending time with your kids making sock puppets can be a valuable kind of quality time. Children can use there creative imagination when they are making sock puppets. And then they can use more of there creative minds putting on puppet shows with there own home made sock puppets.

To make sock puppets you will need some old socks. Single socks work well but if you want to make puppets that are twins then you will need two of the same socks. You can make sock puppets with any kind of socks or any color sock as long as they are clean socks. Brown socks make good brown animals. You can have crazy puppets with multi-colored socks. Your imagination is your guide when making sock puppets.

Get some old socks and decide what kind of puppet you want to make. You can make dog puppets or cat puppets or even people puppets. You can make any kind of puppet that your imagination can muster up. Alien puppets can be made or even a fish. As long as you can put your hand up into the sock you can make a puppet out of that sock.

You can glue buttons on your puppet for eyes, nose, mouth or you can use markers and draw a face on your puppet. Pieces of fabric can be used to glue onto the puppet to make ears, hats or a tail or what ever you want. Yarn is good to glue onto the sock puppet for hair for your puppet. If you like to embroider you can embroider a face on your sock puppet. You can use a piece of ribbon and make a bow on top of your puppets head for a girl puppet. Or you can use the ribbon to make a bow tie for a boy puppet.

After you have made puppets you can put on your very own puppet show. You can get creative and use a big box as your puppets stage or you can use the back of the sofa or a chair for a stage. .
