Top 5 Ways I Relieve My Stress

We all need a little stress reliever sometimes, and if you're a parent, have a job, or have a spouse; you know exactly what I'm talking about. Things come up, which sometimes can put you over the edge if you don't have a release.

My top five things are always sure to relax me; I encourage you to try one!

Number 1: Take a walk. Walking is a great stress reliever. You can walk for miles, and you tend to forget about your stresses, especially when you realize you have to turn around and walk all the way back home, and you don't think you will have enough energy for it. Remember to bring taxicab money with you if you decide to try this.

Number 2: Smoking. Ok, so this is not the healthiest way to relieve stress, and obviously there are some serious health effects that can come from smoking. Don't pick up the habit, based on my article please! But until I make another attempt to quit, it gets me out of the house for awhile. Since I don't smoke near anyone as not to cause secondhand smoke, I am assured of 8 minutes of peace, because that's how long it takes me to smoke a Marlboro Light 100.

Number 3: Eat. Again, not the best way to relieve stress, but it is sure effective when you're eating a dozen donuts and a handful of brownies. I believe I read somewhere that chocolate is good for you... I don't remember where or what it said, but that's a good enough reason for me. I have decided though that in the future, I might just take the donuts and attach them to my thighs; it saves the whole chewing process.

Number 4: I go see my chickens. Anyone that has or has had chickens know they are a funny bunch to watch. They are a lot cheaper than therapy also. They do everything together, if one goes to eat, they all go to eat. If one goes to drink, they all go to drink. If one goes to poop, they all go to eat it. This is where I draw the line and go back in the house.
