A disgrunted employee of a menu printing plant in Signal Hill, California shot and seriously wounded co-workers before killing himself as a SWAT Team entered the building, according to authorities.

The 67 year old man, who has not been identified, entered Kenyon Press shortly after 9 am. He walked past a superior and opened fire on three co-corkers with a semiautomatic handgun, said police Captain Mary Risinger.

The owner of the business told police that the man had indicated he was upset about a reduction in work affecting all employees, said Risinger. "The employees recently had their hours cut back. So he was upset about that, about not having enough work."

The names of the shooter and the victims have not been released. The wounded men were in their 50's, said Valarie Carlomango, Secretary to the Police Chief, according to Fox News.

It was not known how long the gunman had worked there or when the cutback was announced

A dozen workers were in the business at the time of the attack. A female worker locked herself in a room and called 911 when the shooting started.

By the time the police arrived some employees, including two of the wounded had evacuated the printing plant. Officers got the other employees and the remaining wounded man out of the building. The SWAT operation was conducted by a team from neighboring Long beach.

Kenyon Press makes custom designed menus for businesses including Las Vegas casinos and hotel chains, according to it's web site. According to the web site, Kenyon Press employees customer service personnel, copywriters, designers, illustrators, proofreaders, repress, press and bindery/manufacturing professionals, all well-versed in the Food & Beverage industry. Never did like hearing reports of these. I'm not certain if gun control laws will prevent these cases from becoming a dime a dozen, but personally, why do we have so many people willing to do this? Are we that frustrated with our lives?

Gun control laws could prevent so much of this type of senseless violence.
