Surprisingly, the Denver area really has some incredible Asian restaurants for locals and visitors who would love a night out feasting on some authentic fare. Many restaurants feature Asian-fusion menus that will please people who like dishes from one country, but may not like specialties from another. They have a choice now.

Pattaya's dishes are truly authentic, cooked up and supervised by a Thai woman and her aunt. The dishes are flavored with herbs, cucumber, coconut and coconut milk, chilies, lemon grass and sesame, creating the unique Thai flavors that are so distinctive. Their appetizers all under $4.00, with the exception of one Gai Yang, which is priced at just $5.95, and could be a meal within itself. All their soups have a touch of galanga, kaffir leaves and lemon grass. Tom Yum Banana Blossom soup sounds like a heavenly concoction with banana blossoms, mushrooms and onions for just $5.95. They have the traditional noodle and curry dishes cooked in uniquely Thai fashion, but it's the entrees that sound most authentic of all, using cashews, basil, cucumbers and lots of fresh vegetables. The most expensive dinner entree is just $8.25 for a fried catfish with chili sauce and sweet basil. And for someone who has never tasted Thai green tea or coconut ice cream, it's a must taste treat! They're open from 11-9, Mon.-Sat. For people who need take out, it's free for all orders above $12.
