57th Street Art Fair (June 6th - June 7th)
The 57th Street Art Fair is the Chicago summer festival to attend if you are looking to mix culture with clean family fun. Artists will be showcasing glass, jewelry, photography and painting, along with other art mediums. The event will be alcohol free. The 57th Street Art Fair is going on its 62nd year and is billed as the oldest juried fair in the Midwest. The fair is held in the Hyde Park/University of Chicago neighborhood, on 57th Street and Kenwood Avenue.Like many other summer festivals in Chicago, the price of admission is free. 26th Annual Chicago Blues Festival (June 12th - June 14th)
The Chicago Blues Festival is the main event for blues music lovers. The event features five stages of performing blues acts from 11 am to 9 pm, all three days. Featured acts on the Petrillo Music Shell include Shirley Johnson, Eddie C. Campbell, Bettye LaVette and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. The Chicago Blues Festival is held at Grant Park.
