Normal is Successful Too!
AVERAGE EXCELLENCEI look at my average image in my average mirror,
A normal woman reflects back, some laughter, some tears.
Nothing extraordinary , nothing overdone
Still have the stretch marks from the birth of my three sons.
Average friends with average interests and incomes,
Average man and father neither audacious nor extreme,
Average parents in an average neighborhood, at least our front lawn is cut and clean.
I am not a supermodel and I am not a porn star.
I never get drunk and never go too far.
I don't rock the boat in the crowd with my presence,
Although sometimes I wish I did.
I don't have any easy answers either ,
Only more difficult questions up for bid.
Neither prom queen nor cheerleader, just content to be,
Average, peaceful, wonderful me.
