There are so many online resources out there now, most for free. Which should be considered? These 6 resources are the best of the best.

Free Online Resource #1 - Google.com and Yahoo.com

Both Google and Yahoo! allow users to personalize their homepage. In addition, each offers a wide range of services that meet most needs that on-line users have. That includes e-mail, address books, file storage, blogs, games, and more. The list is just about endless. Many on-line users make the mistake of not fully investigating and personalizing these extremely popular sites.

Free Online Resource #2 - Livejournal.com

Live Journal, for those who do not know, is the predecessor to MySpace.com. While Live Journal isn't as fancy as My Space, it is a great site for those wishing to keep a simple online journal. There are lots of opportunities for customization and personalization. In addition, one of the best features of Live Journal is the sense of community. You can simply subscribe to any Live Journal community that piques your interest. There are communities for just about anything. However, if you find a niche that has yet to be filled, you can start your own community. While the basic membership is completely free, there are several different membership options in a wide variety of price ranges. The more you pay, the more features to which you have access.

Free Online Resource #3 - Blogger.com

Blogger.com, which just left the testing "beta" phase of its development, is the free blogging website developed by Google. It is very easy to use and can be customized very easily. While more advanced bloggers may wish for a more comprehensive blogging service, blogger is a wonderful option for those not wishing to get too technical or those just beginning blogging.

Free Online Resource #4 - Webshots.com

Web Shots not only offers tons of great pictures that anyone can use for the wallpaper and screensavers on their computers, you can use Web Shots to organize and share your own digital photos. It is completely free and it is easy to network with friends and family that use Web Shots as well.

Free Online Resource #5 - Photobucket.com
