How could one not know

What was to become

Nor see any of the signs

Remain a mystery to me.

How could not anyone know

Their own minds

Is puzzling to me,

Especially, for people like

You and me.

There was a time before

When I saw you

My face lit up and glowed

But when I didn't see you

I missed you an awful lot.

We had fun

Back then

Even without talks.

Now though,

Everything is falling apart,

As we both have put

Back up our guards

And a forever key

Around our hearts.
